LebanonTalks - Welcome!
On October 17, 2019, a social and political movement of unprecedented scale shook the Lebanese ruling class, in power since the end of the civil war in 1990. This cruel period of intense animosity led to the establishment of a consensual democracy solely at the benefit of a handful of politicians. Three decades later, Lebanon drowns to a standstill, while the same politicians face a multifaceted crisis and unprecedented levels of corruption.

Our conference and debates target in particular Lebanese and foreign researchers, academics and students interested in Lebanon and its region - and on a bigger scale all members of the Lebanese diaspora.

We want these discussions to have an international reach and confirm the growing influence of Lebanese diaspora. As we honor the multiplicity of genres, ideas and journeys, we believe that diversity of opinions will only add value to this complex debate. Following this conference, we will be giving our recommendations based on the multiple exchanges in order to tackle best the problems and offer concrete solutions.
